“Postpartum physiotherapy really helped me feel like myself again, physically and mentally.” Julie - 35

"For me, pregnancy was an adventure I had always looked forward to. But from the first few weeks, I realized it wouldn't be as idyllic as I had imagined. I had a lot of ligament pain and fatigue I couldn't explain. No matter how much I tried to stay positive, my body was constantly reminding me that I was going through something big and difficult.

During labor, everything changed very quickly. I had imagined a natural and peaceful birth, but after hours of labor, I was offered an epidural. I was so afraid of losing my sense of control or feeling nothing. Fortunately, the medical team was wonderful and respected my choices while reassuring me.

After the birth of my son, I began to experience pain and heaviness in my perineum. I didn't expect recovery to take so long. That's when I decided to seek help from a physiotherapist specializing in perineal rehabilitation. It was a key step for me. I learned to regain awareness of my body, work gently on my muscles, and gradually resume physical activity.

These sessions felt like moments of reclaiming my body after everything it had been through. It's not talked about enough, but postpartum physical therapy really helped me feel like myself again, physically and mentally.

Today, I feel stronger than before. This journey has taught me to listen to my body and not hesitate to ask for help when necessary. Every woman experiences pregnancy and childbirth differently, but what I have learned is that you should not underestimate the importance of being well prepared, both physically and mentally.
